Bird Atlas help in Ireland (1 Viewer)

Coverage for Bird Atlas 2007-11 is coming on well in Ireland so thanks to all of you helping out.

There is only one 10-km square in the whole of Ireland with no birds yet recorded in winter - IH02 in Co Cavan. It's an area just east of Dowra and Ballinagleragh. There must be some birds there!

Does anyone live in striking distance and can spend a couple of hours birding and simply make a species list of everything seen and heard?

There are still many other 10-km squares that need more general birding effort to increase the species lists. You can see a map online at http://blx1.bto.org/atlas-results/rich_gaps_map.html and click on the map to see which square it is and how many species have been recorded so far.

If you can enter any records into www.birdatlas.net that would be a tremendous help.

Best wishes
