My macro won't work! (1 Viewer)

I have a Technika sh-a366 digital camera. sadly can't afford an upgrade.
but, I've always made the best of what I've got, and have got some pretty good macro shots over time. like this http://www.flickr.com/photos/54493324@N02/5050615328/in/set-72157624968863743/

but over the past few weeks, when I set my camera to macro mode, the camera will NOT focus on the subject I am photographing. no matter what the light is, or how close or far away it is.

I don't understand...?

I don't think many on here will have any experience of that camera so it's hard to advise what to do. If you've tried it endlessly and find it just won't focus on anything when in macro then all I can suggest is it is probs knackered and time for a new camera, nothing lasts forever. I don't think anyone would repair it with it being Technika and it would not be cost effective anyway I'd have thought.
