Birding near Beijing (1 Viewer)

Hello

A friend and I will have an afternoon and evening in Beijing on Saturday 24th June 2011, during a stop over on the way to Xining.

We are hoping to be able to go up to Huairou to look for the Ibisbills there, and hopefully see some other good birds as well.

Are there any Beijing birders who would be interested in coming birding with us, and perhaps helping us find these birds please?

Any help gratefully received - it would be great to meet some other birders and share some birding time.

Best wishes,

I'm afraid that you can't find Iisbill in huairou. The water in Haihe river was a little high and covered the stone this spring. So many birders didin't find it this spring.

That's a shame - have they not been seen at all this year? Is it possible that they could be further up or downstream, and if so is there any access to the river here?

Any other possible places north of Huairou that are worth checking out?

Thanks.
