Hi all!

Here in sunny Puerto Viejo
Just spent a couple of weeks in Punta Uva Gandoco Manzanillo NR
Wow sooo many Great Potoos!!! Gwaa Gwok what a wierd bird.
Many parrots and Toucans galore.
Now in our fav house near Playa Negra
Notables here White Whiskered Puffbird, White collared Manakin, Red capped Manakin, Black chested Jay, White necked Puffbird; also pleased to get American Pygmy King at Cahuita Sloth sanctuary.
At this location for another month;)

Glad to hear that you are in CR again and that you are missing the rain by staying on the Caribbean slope (we have been hammered with constant rain in the Central Valley and the Pacific slope). That's a great area down there. If you see any "Black-headed Trogons" down that way, try and get a picture to document Western White-tailed Trogon for Costa Rica. I suspect there are a few living around there.

just started raining today; hope it will not be constant lol

Not seen BHT as yet, had Slaty and Violaceous though, so will watch out for one

best today -Cocoa Woodcreeper
Black cowled Oriole
Black chested Jay - eating a lychee about 4 m away
nice CBlack Hawks
White collared manakin - many

no sign of BTT yet Patrick!
