Here are a some of my suggestions for photo competition themes for next year - anyone else got any other suggestions for the BF mods?

- Compact camera photo. This would allow birders who hadn't spent a fortune on gear to get in on the action!!
- Parents and children. Theme to show birds off during the breeding season
- Airborne. Theme for photographs of birds in flight.
- Feeder antics. Theme for garden birds action.
- Birds and water. Shorebird and waterfowl theme (and some others too!).

- Birds with other animals
- 'Birds in Trouble'
- Birds at rest (snoozing, etc.)

. . .Sorry, can't remember all the themes we've already had.

That one suggestion I highlighted Neil might not go over. There is enough stress on the birds during breeding season and a photographer trying to get "that shot" would only add to the stresses of the birds. The rest are good thoughts.

I am currently compiling a list of themes for 2005.

Thank you to everyone who has contributed so far :t:

Any more suggestions ?

Male and female of the same species within the same picture, providing there is a noticeable difference between them.
