Digiscoping with A95 and Swaro ATS eyepiece (zoom 20-60 or 30 SW) (1 Viewer)

Hi all,

This is my first contribution to this forum.
Anyone tried to digiscope with a Canon A95 attached (or handel held) to a Swarovski eyepiece (20-60 ATS or 30 Sw). This camera seems to be very good but. I am wonder if we have vignetting with this camera.

User's of CP4300 have no vignetting (from focal length min to max) with the 30 SW eyepiece and pictures taken with this camera are very sharp So perhaps it 's the same for the A95 ?
Any information about vignetting would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,

Marc

Hi Marc,
The Canon A series of cameras is pretty good for digiscoping, no reason to think the lens system has changed too much from earlier models. Not sure about the total absence of vignetting from full wide angle to full zoom... i've never come across a compact digital that achieves this with any standard birding eyepiece. You certainly get vignetting at wide angle with the cp4300 + 30x on the ATS80.
regards,
Andy
