Best Sunglass Color/Colour for Birding? (1 Viewer)

Hi,

I lost my favorite, old sunglasses recently, and am shopping for a new pair. Sunglass lenses are offered in different colors - green, gray, brown.

Is there one color better than another for birding? Is one color better for seeing detail and true colors?

Thanks,
Karen

Hi Karen,

gray is best because it has the least impact on natural colors. Other colors use to add a strong cast to the view.

A gray lens is best for neutral color affect and if you use them with roof prism binoculars be sure they are NON-polarized lenses.
