I think it is the standard RSPB Bird Guide.

Thinking more on the subject the book is more likely to have been in the 1990's probably around 1993-5ish. I forgot I only moved to this area of Cheshire in 1987.

I won the bidding at 80p sent cheque off yesterday, can't wait to get my mitts on it. My wife and I have been trying for twelve years to find a copy, ever since we purchased Hilary Burn's painting.
