Visitors and locals may find these of interest:

The Cape Bird Club and Tygerberg Bird Club are offering two hour Bird Walks in Kirstenbosch as their contribution for the Centenary Year of Kirstenbosch and the Botanical Society, as the birds are such an important part of the biodiversity of the Gardens.

A number of very succesful & enjoyable walks have taken place since February.
The scheduled walks are led by experienced birders from the two clubs
and anyone who enjoys birding and would like to learn more about the birds or how to identify them, are welcome to join the walks, and bring your friends.

Even if it looks like rain, the guide will be there and from recent
experience despite the weather forecasts the walks went ahead
with either no rain or very little.

See the dates of the scheduled walks below.

For all walks the entrance fee is payable, if you do not have a
Botanical Society member card.

The walk is free.
