Will the Portuguese president resign?
I have just watched (on TV) Mário Soares (President of Portugal from 1986 to 1996) at a large audience at the Aula Magna, Lisbon elegantly pleading for the demission of the the actual president Aníbal Cavaco Silva - he also insisted that if he didn't, there would be much violence - and that had to be avoided at all costs. He received numerous standing ovations throughout his speech.
Should be on the news in English at some point.
