We moved to the Livradois Forest National Park in 2010 and are amazed by the birds we see around our property throughout the year, all your regular garden birds plus a few specials;
Black Woodpecker, Green and Great Spotted,
Hen Harrier
Red and Black Kite
Buzzard
Short Toed Eagle
Raven
Great Grey Shrike
Red Backed Shrike
Crossbill
Crested Tit
Bullfinch
Brambling
Redstart
Black Redstart
Wryneck
Hoopoe
Beeeaters (30min drive)
All but the last 2 we have seen on or flying over our land.
A great place to visit to get away from it all and get great birding too!
