Lapland in May (1 Viewer)

Hello,

On May 9 - 16 I'll be staying in Martinselkosen Eräkeskus Wildlife Centre. There are two national parks within 200 km from there - Riisitunturi and Outlanka, both are in Southern Lapland. I wonder - are they accessible at this time of the year (I don't mean skiing!), or there is usually too much snow?

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

There can be still snow in early may. This year might be exeption! Snow has melted 1-1,5 monts early. Oulanka is better place for birding. Try to optimise visit with good weather and end of your stay. Migration is going and there will be more birds latter.
