COUNTRYMAN 10 x 50 BGA T (1 Viewer)

I'm currently thinking of getting a new pair of bins. My local shop is selling a pair of Opticron Countryman 10x50 BGA T (Roof Prism) for £199.

Please could anyone let me know if they have found these to be good for birding?

Thanks,

Andy

Go for the Opticron Imagic 10x42 or Verano 10x42 instead. Slightly more expensive, but much better optics. The Countryman 10x50 has a very narrow FOV. Its only advantage over the Imagic and Verano is that it shows a good deal less flaring/ghosting.

I have a pair of the BGA T and have found them superb bins. They are fairly light and very steady to use but FOV may be a little narrow. I paid £250 for them last summer so £199 is a bargain.

I use them daily and find that they are great in all conditions with great clarity.

I am very very satisfied with them.

Gogz.
