Hi
A quick question via a railway forum, back in 1988 The Cleveland Young Ornithologists Club adopted a locomotive (20118 which still carries the plate referring to the adoption), they were just wondering why the club had adopted the locomotive in the first place?
There is a nature reserve next to Thornaby depot where the loco was based and they were wondering if that was the connection?
If anyone can shed any light on the question I would be most grateful.
Regards
Tim.
