Bird box and table combined (1 Viewer)

I always understood that birds would never nest in a bird box above a bird table, even though there are plenty of such tables around. We got given one of these feeder table/nest box combinations as a present. We put it in the garden as a feeding station, but recently have noticed Blue Tits and Great Tits entering the box to check it out.

Is it possible that they might nest in it?

It is possible, yes. I read this in a book: they are sold often but are not recommended for use. This is because birds nesting in the table and feeding birds are likely to have fights.
