Bali Barat / West Bali National Park (1 Viewer)

Following the post below, I also used Putu while staying at the Menjangan a couple weeks ago. It's a wonderful place for birding and Putu helped me get Banded Pitta (4 birds calling at two places, two seen, 1 photographed). The other bird within the park worth mentioning was a Red-legged Crake. Local birding guides like Putu are excellent for putting people into good locations. As was already said on this forum, he mainly specializes in forest birds but is learning shorebirds/waders quickly. He has access to some salt pan areas where we recorded 12 shorebird species in one pond including 2 Beach Thick-knee and roughly 20 Saunders's Tern, Sunda Teal, etc.. This area is quite near his house and approx. 10 minutes from the national park going east along the main road.

His email is [email protected] and he is quite fluent in English.
