I was able to get out both on New Years Eve and New Years Day. On New Years Day I was not able to go to the Henderson Bird Viewing Preserve but had to go to Sunset Park.

It was a good day considering that it is a wide open public park and there are a lot of kids and families there.

I am still going through all of the photos I shot and here is what I have come up with so far:

1. Rock Dove
2. American Coot
3. Canada Goose
4. Double Crested Cormorants
5. Mallard
6. Muscovy Duck
7. Redhead
8. Ring-billed Gull
9. Ring-Neck Duck
10. Western Grebe
11. American wigeon
12. Domestic Swan Goose
13. Great Tailed Grackle

I will update my list as I add them for the year.

1. Rock Dove

The very first bird I saw on New Years Day was while I was sitting on the patio having a cup of coffee and a cig, and that was the Rock Dove.

I have not had the chance the past month to get out much. I got promoted at work and place in charge of a large project and it has me working at two different complexes right now. So I don't know if I am coming or going anymore. That said I have one addition to my list right now and that is:

49. American Robin

I see these guys first thing in the morning and in late afternoon.
