After a forlorn week since putting up a hummingbird feeder I hit paydirt. A greenish hummer arrived. I went out later and as I was passing near the feeder this hummer buzzed up within 3 feet of my head then over to the feeder. I kind of felt like the message was "step away from my feeder". One ounce vs 210 lbs. No contest. I backed quickly away. It's not the size of the bird in the fight, it's the size of the fight in the bird!
