I picked up one of these on eBay the other day and have been playing with it some. I've put together a web page of what I've seen so far and it is HERE.

Any chance that a 2x is a whole lot brighter?

I've tried a 3x and 2x with the same set up and the more magnification you add the darker it gets. The focus on these can be soft as well even with the canon TC 2x but it does save taking out a second mortgage.
