Polarised glasses with binoculars (1 Viewer)

Came across an interesting effect yesterday using my 8x23HGs- you get some weird colour effects if you are wearing polarised glasses. I guess that the polarisation messes up phase correction in the binos?

I use polarised glasses in the Summer with my Leica 8x32 BN's and find that the glasses help in bringing out ID features such as the white rump on House Martin due to less glare.
I use to own 8x32 HG's, but that was before I got the glasses so I can't compare them now.

A while back I bought some Butler creek Blizzard scope covers that fit my LX 10x32's. I replaced the clear plastic covers with some circular polarized filters used for cameras. As I fly-fish, it's nice to be able to use the binos and spot fish from a distance, and it keeps my objectives protected. Plus, it's easy to just flip up the spring-loaded covers when I want a "pure" view.

Pentax offered several binoculars in the 1980's that allowed polariizng filters to be screwed in.
