My immediate patch is my garden, very close to the city (Sydney), it's crammed with native plants..Grevillea,Bottle Brush etc which used to attract many small birds Striated Honeyeaters, New Holland Honeyeaters, Eastern Spinebills.
Silver Eyes, Pardalotes etc. but now we mostly have Currawongs ,Magpies,Ravens and Grey Butcher Birds. Lovely birds but we miss the small birds. Is this happening in other countries.?

Yes, due to urbanization and habitat fragmentation.
