Hi just thought I'd let people know about my local patch. it's only small but 15 minutes away by car and in the heart of the countryside. Its called Markshall Estate.

Was up at 6 am and in the car park before sunrise. 3 GSw's, green woodpecker, Gold finches, Green finches, siskins, Linnetts, Coal, Blue, Long Tailed, and great tits. Gold crest, Thought i saw Firecrest, but not sure. Partridge, and Red Legged partridge. Sparrowhawk, (Fleeting), Little Owl. There is a report that a Barn Owl has moved into the area, searched for it but unlucky.

Good morning just to get out and see waht was about, but icily cold!

regards

Trevor
