GND - Holme (1 Viewer)

Hi Guys,

Just doing a bit of boning up for my Twite expedition to Norfolk tomorrow and I see that there is a Great Northern Diver reported at Holme NOA.

I recall seeing a similar posting a week or so ago, and just assumed that this was a bird seen off-shore from Holme.

Does anyone know whether this is the case, or (maybe) whether it a bird that's taken up residence in Holme due to the cold weather?

I've never actually been into the NOA, so if anyone knows anything about it, I'd be grateful for any info - I assume that it contains some open water and that there is a charge for non-members!

All the best..... Ruby

I don't know for sure, but reckon it's a pretty safe bet that the divers will be on the sea not the reserve; Holme gets watched well and often on the sea, so if there's a few GND in the area, they'll get picked up now and again.

Yes, David - I imagine that is probably the scenario....

Just wondering if anyone is familiar with Holme NOA??
