Velbon Sherpa 720n (1 Viewer)

I currently have a Velbon Sherpa 720n, which I use with a Kowa TS-611 and CP4500. I’m finding that the counter balance is off when both items are attached and I’m ready to take pictures. I can obviously make the adjustments manually but what I’m really looking for help on is

Would it be possible to have another type/style head put on this tripod or is it possible to buy a longer plate to counter act the weight balance or should I just invest in another tripod – if so, which one

Many thanks

Di

Kowa make a universal balance plate that allows you to easily shift the centre of balance and sort this problem. I think it retails for about £40 and could be a fairly straight forward way to reslove this issue.

Other options would be to use one of the Manfrotto sliding plate adaptors (577 or 357), they are probably a bit cheaper than the Kowa balance plate.
