Birding at Garda? (1 Viewer)

HI All,

My wife and I are going on a coach-tour holiday to Lake Garda, Italy in July. We shall be staying at Garda town on the east shore of the lake and I'd being grateful if anyone can tell me of any good sites, within a reasonable(!) walking distance of the town, for Birds, Butterflies, Dragonflies, etc. Some of the holiday will be on day-tours out and about but we should have a couple of days free to explore the Garda area.

Last year we did a similar trip, staying at Riva on the north shore and eventually found one or two good spots (mainly for butterflies). I've posted a shot of one, a Woodland Grayling, in the Butterflies and Moths gallery.

Cheers
