Sorry for what might be a simple question but is it normal to see a Guillemot swimming a few yards off the beach at Hopton just on the Suffolk / Norfolk border? Can't say I recall seeing one along the Anglian coast

If its not unusual I apologise

Very common sight off Norfolk and Suffolk in the winter, but less so in summertime - however, when you add the last week's persistent strong northerly winds into the equation, it's not really a surprising record. (No need to apologise, though, Steve! ;) )

There was a Guillemot on Breydon Water (i.e. a short distance inland) last week as well.
