Is it possible to use the Canon EF1.4x AFII Tele-compressor with the Canon EF75-300mm F/4-5.6 IS lens?

I don't think so, though I'm really no expert but have just bought a Canon eos & have that lens also. I seem to remember looking into this question myself and coming up with 'no' as the answer but there are other companies that do make converters that will fit.

I'm not 100% on this so I'd say perhaps your local camera shop is a good place to start or have a look at http://www.canon.co.uk/eflenses/

Auto focus may struggle at the long end of the lens, you be up to f8 and most cameras AF struggle with that sort of light.
