Dollarbirds (1 Viewer)

Hi everyone, Saw my first Dollarbird for the season today. I live just outside of Broome in the Kimberley region of Western Australia. They are annual visitors, arriving in September/October and leaving in March/April. Unlike the migratory waders, Dollarbirds breed here, In fact there is a partially dead gum tree on my next door neighbours property which is their regular nesting site. They defend it vigourously from BlueWinged Kookaburras and Pied Butcher Birds!
