Caterpillar (1 Viewer)

Hi

I was asked to have a look at strange looking caterpillar the other day. Identification was easy because it was so prominently yellow, with punk like red spikes and silver diamonds running down its back. Its was "The Sycamore" and now to my question, the website that I got my info from said it was locally common in the south, south-east and East Anglia, Uk and this was in the Midlands. Is this a rarity for the Midlands or do many get transported around the country.
