o:) Could someone please tell me how I post a photo directly from my album site. Linking is allowed only the html I used on other sites doesn't work here.
I have been doing this
<Img src=" html address in here">
<img src="http://pic1.picturetrail.com/VOL103/636298/1197271/14641848.ptp">

Don't give up!

Hi Carolyn.... one of your problems is that your pic url is ending .ptp instead of .jpg. When posting on here, click the IMG button and insert the pic's url address in the box that appears....change the end to .jpg

PictureTrail

Hi Tawny,

I, too, have photo albums at Picture Trail; maybe I can help you. What is your PictureTrail web address and what version of Windows (98, me, 2000, or XP) are you using? I never post my photos by linking from PictureTrail to BirdForum. If you are interested in me telling you how I do it, please respond and I will explain same to you by email. Welcome aboard and I look forward to seeing your Magpies.

I just saw your Magpie, Tawny. Really nice! I'm glad you hung in there and that Ian and Andy were able to help. Keep em coming.

Posting pics with Picture Trail

Hi Marysan, I don't think Tawny has a Picture Trail account.... someone else uploaded the pic for her.
Anyway, if you want to use Picture Trail for posting..... just go to the 'more options' sections in your Picture Trail page and choose 'get url's for Auctions'....then you select the folder your desired pic is in and get the url for it, select (highlight) the url address and right click + copy so you can just paste it where-ever it needs to go when posting......If you use the IMG button on here the http:// part will already be in the pop-up box, so you need to remove that so you don't end up with two lots of http://
Regards,
Andy B

Thanks, Andy. I've copied and pasted your instructions for future reference. I only pull a Pic from Picture Trail when I am desperate to get a lower resolution image than I can get from my editing program. On my PC, I keep the Image Toolbar enabled which makes it very easy to save any Internet Image. The Image Toolbar over-rides "Right Click Prevent".

Trying Again

o:) Thank you all for your help. I do have picturetrail and have no problems linking to other forums. I will try once more.

What can I say :-C - 10/10 for determination but no banana !

Carolyn, I'm afraid it's beyond me. Can I suggest using Fototime or a free host that permits hot linking, though they seem to be disappearing fast.
