Phew..............
From today's conserv@tion a lovely little tale........
A renegade seal stopped traffic in Montrose yesterday as it wandered through the Angus town. The determined little seal waddled its way from the Montrose Basin across scrubland, through two fences and over railway lines to get to the road at Basin View. Wildlife experts remain baffled as to where the seal was heading, although locals suspect it may have been sensibly looking for shelter from yesterday's bad weather. Brave local bobby Constable Willie Aitken had the task of capturing the seal, nicknamed Blue Eyes, who was causing chaos in the town as cars pulled up and locals crowded round. But Blue Eyes did not appreciate the officer's good intentions: "Members of the public had him penned in. I just thought what am I going to do," said Constable Aitken.
