Can anyone tell me,if the FujiFinePix A500 is of any use for digi-scoping ? Any advice would be welcome.

The lens should be ok and it's fast at 3 frames/second . The LCD resolution looks a bit low which might make it difficult to see for focusing in bright light. It's video mode looks very basic and it doesn't have any other "bells and whistles" . If you don't have it yet then I would go for the F31fd instead. If you already have it you should be able to get good images with it in the right circumstances. Neil.
