Just thought i would share my day's birding at Dawlish Warren S. Devon with you.......like most places in the UK today it rained non stop all day long......
300 - 400 Brent Geese were the highlight, always great to see them this time of the year, 300 + Widgeon, some small numbers of Ringed Plovers running along the shoreline, Curlews and a few Wimbrels were close to the hide at lunchtime small numbers of Redshank and Greenshank were viewed from a distance as was Grey Plover and Little Egrets Oystercatchers were plenty....amusing views of an Oystercatcher having a strop with anything that came close including Crows and a heron, also seen were Grey Wagtails 3, and 4 Pied Wagtails flocks of Rock Pippits a solitary Canadian Goose was feeding amongst a flock of Dunlin. Gulls were present including a Great Blacked Backed Gull small numbers of Black Headed Gulls and Herring.........ending with a party of 15 Long Tailed Tits spotted playing in a bush in the reserve......well now i am just starting to dry off............
