Redshank at Whitley Bay (1 Viewer)

John Fleet

Finally reached 300!
England
Early afternoon today (Sunday 19th Oct), fourteen Redshank feeding on the Links, practically on the pavement just north of the Rendevous cafe. I'm used to seeing Oystercatchers on the Links but I can't recall seeing Redshank before. All against the backdrop of the Bonga on the horizon...

Hi John,

Must admit that's fairly common in the winter (I often do the monthly wader counts there). They've not been there recently because the ground has been so dry, but with the rain this morning, feeding will have improved a bit.

Missed the bonga! dang!

Michael
