Male has chocolate brown plumage and dark back and white rear. Grey bill with dark tip, white iris to eye. Female is duller brown in colour and has brown iris.
Location: Morges, Switzerland

Distribution
At least 30 pairs of Ferruginous Ducks breed at the Dragoman marsh, located 35 km North-west from Sofia.
