Well yesterday I went to Martin Mere and had a great day!

Cormrant (2)
Redshank (7)

Kestrel (1) A really beautiful male! Probably the best view I've ever had of one.
Marsh Harrier (2) Just amazing.

It was absolutely great!
I also got a new lens for my scope so it is really good now.
The Kestrel was fab! It sat on a post right in front of the hide! But as soon as I got my camera out it flew off.
Typical.

There were other birds but i forgot to write them down.

Anyway today I went to Daisy Nook CP to sort out my work experience and had a great day.
I saw:
Dunnock (4)
Blue Tit (10+)
Robin (5-7)
Chaffinch (1)
Great Tit (20+)
Wood Pigeon (10+)
Collard Dove (5)
Blackbird (2)
Moorhen (6)
Mallard (10+)
Long-tailed Tit (10+)
Magpie (10+)
Canada Goose (10+)
Coot (5-7)
Black Headed Gull (20+) They're getting there full black heads now. Very pretty.
Greylag (2)
Mute Swan (2)
Mistle Thrush (1) AGAIN!!!
Nuthatch (1)

So today was another good day. :)

Glad that you had such a good day. Well in fact two good days!

I'm looking forward to my visit to Martin Mere in Nov already.

I just knew you would be doing some lists.
Keep enjoying the birding.

Take care

Yeah it's a great place. It's really worth the visit. When you go I suggest you go to the Ron Barker Hide because in my opinion it's the best. You can see Marsh Harriers from there and Barn Owls. There is also a lot of waders there usually but when yesterday they weren't.
I hope you enjoy it when you go! It's great. A tad pricey though.
