Outstanding morning in the backyard Queens NY...

Posted Thursday 7th May 2009 at 14:38 by AsterixnObelix
I have been waiting patiently for one of those spectacular spring backyard birding days and this morning...just a few minutes ago, I had one. A Yellow Breasted Chat, a Male Scarlet Tanager, 2 Northern Parulas, a Male American Redstart, an Ovenbird a Wood Thrush and a Veery were observed in the backyard. This suggests that more migrants came through last night. BTW, none of these were new backyard visitors. The list for the backyard remain at 85. What a way to start the day!!!
