After the typhoon

Posted Thursday 11th October 2007 at 23:25 by mcaribou
Several days of cloudyiness after the typhoon seemed a good chance for birds to go on southward. So I went to Yangshan island outside Shanghai.Five kinds of raptors, four warblers, three flycatchers, two thrushes, five buntings, one drongo, one starling, one redstart, three shirkes, two pipits and a couple of Brambling.
No rails and Painted Snipe, but two Buttonquails flew up from grasses.
