Colin's Bird Diary - 16th October 2007 (1 Viewer)

Tuesday.
Slimbridge - Mild and overcase morning with rain starting at 1300 and was continuously heavy all afternoon.

There was quite a bit of disturbance around the reserve with routine maintenance such as hedge cutting. Nevertheless, 46 Wigeon were on the scrape in front of the Holden Tower and 10 Little Egrets were on the estuary with 8 of them together. On the raptor front, a Sparrowhawk went through and 2 Buzzards were feasting on something on the Dumbles and the resident Peregrine was loafing near the river.
