Olinda In April (1 Viewer)

Through the blue of the sky big woolly clouds of gray
And the sun shining bright on a beautiful day
And the deciduous trees in their browns and greens of the Fall
Olinda at it's best one of the fairest of all.

One of the many beautiful places in the Dandenong Ranges Olinda on the high ground
With acacias, gums, pines and deciduous trees all around
Where the song of the butcherbird he sings all year
It echoes in the woodland so pleasant to hear.

The coldest part in all of old Sherbrooke some say
Olinda can be cold on a Winter's day
I've been there when the ground wore a cover of snow
And through the high woodland the cold wind did blow.

But Olinda at best is a magical place
And the old Village to many a familiar face
At the weekend on the mountain road cars buzz up and down
Through many a village and old mountain Town.

The familiar calls of the sulphur crested and yellow tail black cockatoos
And though the huge mountain ash trees block out the views
Olinda of Sherbrooke is well loved and well known
And it has a natural charm of it's own.
