Glaslyn Female Returns
Posted Tuesday 23rd March 2010 at 13:26 by Tiger_mz
So the good news today is that the Glaslyn female osprey is back. That makes them the first pair of ospreys that we know of to return this year.
Now EJ from Loch Garten is expected in the next few days if last year is any guide.
Also Red 8T one of the Roy Dennis tracked ospreys has started to move.

Wonderful news about Glaslyn female! Had hoped to spot RD's Beatrice in Andalucia (where I'm going on 10/4) - but she's already in France. I'll be flying to Valencia on 30/3 to immediately drive back up "Osprey Alley" towards UK with my son in his old Transit (+ his 2 cats & worldly posessions!) so am taking bins in case I can spot any other northbound migrants when stopping for fuel etc. It's been a long, cold winter. Only relieved by sightings of red kite in my neighbourhood (LE9 4JA) and some buzzards, which seem to be ours now, so good news for Midlands raptors.
