The Place I Once Called Home

Posted Wednesday 12th May 2010 at 01:56 by Francis Duggan
The place I once called home is no longer so to me
And a migrant in this Land is all I can be
But I am happy to live here and here I will stay
Until the Grim Reaper on my life has his say
In the hedgerows and groves by a distant town
The songbirds are singing as the sun goes down
'Tis not very hard at all to visualize
That is something that I have come for to realize
I first grew to love Nature from here far away
And I do love her more with every passing day
I marvel at the things in her I do see
And her beauty is everywhere all around me
Where I was born and raised mine would be a strange face
And I am a migrant far from my old home place.
