Tales of a Botanical Birder

Posted Tuesday 8th April 2008 at 15:55 by brianfm
I took a walk to the lake in the hope of finding some early arriving Swallows but there were none to be seen. I did notice there was still one female Goosander on the lake however and a Greay Heron seemed to be annoyed by the prescence of two Coots which had no intention of moving despite one or two threats from the Heron which eventually gave up. A Lesser Black Backed Gull was on the water.

Some rather nice lichens about which I photographed.
