Help Support Vulture Conservation

Posted Friday 13th July 2012 at 21:08 by ranalobo
The more conservationists I meet, the more I am impressed by how many talented, dedicated, and passionate people there are in the world who are devoting much of their lives to protecting a species, a landscape, an ecosystem.

I had the opportunity to visit Dr. Munir Virani in Kenya and observe first hand the amazing work he is doing for raptor conservation. He is participating in TED talks, with a short presentation on "why he loves vultures". It is definitely worth watching....

An Ordinary Day

Posted Saturday 23rd June 2012 at 17:56 by ranalobo
(This is an entry from my blog at Whitehawk Birdwatching and Conservation, [www.whitehawkbirding.com] that I wanted to share with you).

The other day a friend of mine said “when things are easy, people lose interest.” He was talking about relationships, but in the days that followed our conversation, I couldn’t help but think about this statement. Is it true that we crave drama? Are we only truly happy when we are making ourselves miserable?

As birdwatchers, perhaps...
