Black-crowned nigth heron and nuthatch in river Manzanares in Monte de el Pardo (1 Viewer)

IMG_8775.JPG

The day I went to see the swan in river Manzanares in Monte de el Pardo (last week post), I obviously saw more birds. The most interesting was three black-crowned night herons. Upon arrival I saw some mallards in eclipse. I counted fourteen invasive Florida turtles. A small group of goldfinches fluttered looking for herb seeds

After the train bridge I saw the swan that I was looking for and It was the subject of the post of the previous week.

But I was surprised by black-crowned night heron beside the swan on the left bank of the river, 50 meters above the railway bridge.

Across the river some bee-eaters on a dried-out tree. I continued upriver with some eclipse Mallards swimming in a nearly dry river if it were not for the dams.
