New Bird to Peru. Northern Hawk Owl. (1 Viewer)

You can imagine how the headlines of a Northern Hawk Owl in Peru totally jumped at me. WOW!
I soon realized however, it was not in South America, but rather in New York State in the US.

Since the headline made this impression to me, I went on and wrote a note to send out to the local lists covering my Peru (BirdingPeru and Incaspiza - both on yahoogroups)- and I wrote a blog about it. This is a new blog on my homepage. My main blogging will be there, but I shall try to update some here on bird forum as well, if I see I get some interest.

The first intention was that the blog abouth the Hawk-Owl in Peru, New York, should show Peruvian birders something regarding how birding is done in northern hemisphere.
However, as the blog developed, I thought it would be just as interesting to let northern hemisphere birders learn something about birding here in Peru.
The result: A blog about a special Owl in Peru, New York and a special Owl in Peru, South America. Check it out.
