Black-crowned night herons in Paracuellos del Jarama (1 Viewer)

IMG_8398.JPG
Upon arrival to the river under the bridge there were a lot of fiches. Under a heat of 40ºC carps approached to the surface of the river. Two turtles were taking a sunbathing. Some orioles and some fugitive long-tailed tit. A shrike was on a branch looking to the field beside the river.

Black-crowned night herons flew up from a branches of the river. And a few hundred meters up the river I saw one of them.I had been four days in the last two month trying to photograph them. This is perhaps the best time I've photographed them. It was about ten meters above the river. At in the end I saw that there were two adults annd I begin to assume that what perhaps seemed a bittern is only the youngest son of the couple.
ey were hiding in the shadows of branches.
