Murici Forest Patch - An Island of Fantastic Birds ! (1 Viewer)

Hello !

I just came back from the county of Murici, at the Brazilian State of Alagoas.
I had a day trip with a couple from Oregon - USA.
Our main target was the Seven-Coloured Tanager. It might be a breeding time for them, since we had no flocks but, either pairs or solitary birds - They were very active. We spend about two hours watching them, quite frequently.
We had a few other birds but, the Grayish Mourner was quite nice since we had the adult feeding an young one in a quite close range.
Other birds we should mention are the Black-necked Aracari and Black Jacobin.
All these birds were located on a singel forest patch, totally sorrounded by sugar cane plantations and also pastures...

I wishi everyone a Great Weekend!

Yours,

Paulo Boute.
