I have a pigeon ... maybe (1 Viewer)

I rescued a pigeon of some sort from a crazy woman in my neighborhood but I am not sure it is a pigeon. Could be a dove or a chicken for all I know!!! I will describe it here. If anyone has an idea what it is, I want to get it a mate so I would be most grateful for the information. It is a female because it laid an egg today!
The bird is the size of a pigeon. It is a dirty white with a pale tan frosting all over. (It was solid white up until about a month - 6 weeks agoi then the color developed.) It has a tail that is oriented like a chicken's...not flat across like a whales tail but the tail stands up
like a chickens tail. The egg is solid white and kinda big for a little bird...It is the size of a small to medium chicken egg you would see in the grocery store. The beak is pinkish tan and looks like a pigeon or dove's beak. No crest on the head. :;)
