Swarovski dissapointment (1 Viewer)

The right/left bias adjustment ring on my 18month old Swarovskis stopped working but as I only really use one eye I just let it go. Recently visited Focus Optics from whom I purchased said binoculars to buy a new Scope and possibly a pair of Swarovskis for my wife. The salesman noticed the fault and offered to return them for repair. I thought, Why not ? may as well have them back to pristine condition as they cast me over a £1000 ( and with the demise of the pound now cost £1700 !!!) Imagine my shock when I got a phonecall to say Swarovski wanted £162 to repair them ! claiming they had been dropped. I guard my binos jealosly and they have never been dropped or abused. After much argument Swarovski have offered to split the cost 50/50. I am foaming mad but what can I do ??? tempted to say return them as they are. Needless to say my wife will not be buying Swarovski ( prob Lieca).
Interesting point - when my wife did drop her Bushnells on safari a couple of years ago we sent them for repair stating we had dropped them and expected a bill. Bushnell repaired them free of charge !
So much for RIP OFF Swarovski !! so beware friends. They are certainly not 'Binos for Life'!!!!
